I’m a big fan of hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest. Their sophomore album, The Low End Theory, inspired me to study the rich history of what is widely known as jazz, or Black American Music [BAM].
In this video, I’ve animated my penned poetry with After Effects, and combined that into an edited, sped-up video in Premiere. With watercolor pencils as the medium, I had fun creating the phrase which is inspired by the title of my favorite track of the album mentioned above.
